Adding Fujinet support to Atari800MacX
After the news about adding Fujinet support to Atari800 emulator, I started to think that it would be nice to be able to update Atari800MacX which gives the macOS users a more native experience.
To be fair, macOS is already covered by the work of Andy Diller, with a compiled version available at https://www.atariorbit.org/2025/06/19/fujinet-and-atari800-emulation/ which include a compiled version of Fujinet-PC. However, I still like Atari800MacX and since it is based on Atari800, it would be a natural update to include the latest changes from the Atari800 project.
After a few weeks of working with a lot of help from Claude Code, I managed to incorporate all the changes, including add Fujinet to Atari800MacX. It is now ready to be tested. Depending on the test results, I should submit a pull request to the Atari800MacX project on Github so the main repository will have these changes.
Atari800MacX 7.0.0 Beta 1 represents a major upgrade, bringing the emulator core up to date with the latest Atari800 5.2.0 + updates in master, including Fujinet support.
The Fujinet-PC I've been testing it with is the one Andy made available in his blog post above.
